Información adicionalThe Maple Leaf silver coin has been minted by the Royal Canadian Mint since 1988. You can buy and sell the Maple Leaf silver coin in units of 1 oz at the Gold Provision and Silver Provision. The coins are packaged in tubes of 25 pieces each. The ‘Maple Leaf’, the image of the Canadian sugar maple leaf, is probably the best-known Canadian symbol. The silver coin of the same name is one of the most traded bullion coins in the world. The coin design remains the same every year. The only change is the level of detail of the leaf, which can be created using modern manufacturing processes. The original image of the maple leaf was created by the Austrian coin designer Walter Ott in 1928. In the upper half of the coin you will find the inscription ‘Canada’, on both sides of the maple leaf you will find the fineness of the precious metal (9999). The inscription on the coin is in English (fine silver) and French (argent pur) due to the bilingualism of the Canadians. The Royal Candian Mint has optimised the Maple Leaf in terms of anti-counterfeiting over the last decade. On the obverse of the coin is a small security feature in the form of another maple leaf next to the motif of the maple leaf.
